Diffusion is the process in which the molecules start escaping in random motion due to increased kinetic energy.

It even intermixes with the nearby substances. When an incense stick is burnt and kept at once place, its smoke mixes with the air giving beautiful fragrance which can be felt.

This is the result of diffusion.
