Diploblastic - these organisms have only two body layers i.e., the ectoderm and the endoderm (NO MESODERM if present they are triploblastic)

  • The organism which is made up of two layers of cell is called the diploplastic and the example of diploplastic is coelentrata, Sycon, hrdra etc.
  • Also we can say diploblastic animals which have only two embryonic germ layers (ectoderm and endoderm but no mesoderm).
  • Cnidarians, such as jellyfish, coral, sponges and sea anemones, coelentrata, hydra etc are examples for diploblastic animals because these animals which contain two layers of cells.
