COMPLETE DOUBLE CIRCUIT : This type of circuit is found in crocodiles birds and mammels .their heart is a four -chamberd with two atria and two ventricles .here the oxygenated blood and deoxygenated blood are completely seperated . The double blood circulation includes
1.systemic circulation: this circuit involves the circulation of blood between heart and body organs. The left atrium of the heart receives oxynated blood frm the lungs .this is then pumped out by the left ventricle into systemic aorta which supplies it to all the body parts.
The body parts take oxygen from it .Deoxygenated blood from these body parts is then returned to the right auricle through two large veins called SUPERIOR and INFERIOR VENA CAVA . this complete circuit is also called the greater or peripheral circulation.because it supplies blood to most of the tissues.
PULMONARY CIRCULATION:this circuit involves the circulation of deoxugenated blood received from different body parts
This blood is pumped out by the right ventricle to the pulmonary arch through which it reaches to lungs for oxygenated blood is then returned to the left auricle by pulmonary veins .
