Insectivorous plants: The plants which manufacture their own food but also obtain a part of their nutrition from insects .

They grow in areas deficient in Nitrogen.
Hence, they meet their nitrogen requirements from insects.
Being green in colour , they can manufacture their own food also.
These are also called Carnivorous plants.

Ex: Venus flytrap , Drosera , Utricularia ,etc.
