Parochialisation is the opposite process of universalisation. It is the process of localization and modification of the ‘great tradition’ into ‘little traditions’. One of the examples for this is the localization ‘Cow Nourisher worship festival’. Locals of Kishan Garhi village understood ‘Govardhan’ as ‘Gobar dhan’, that means cow dung is wealth, and celebrates the festival by using items made by cow dung.

Parochialisation was introduced basically for the people who used to live in the village area and this was based on the cultural changes that  were introduced or made either under the government or the heads of the village, depending upon the leader they used to follow. The modifications and the localisations of the minor traditions were also followed under the area.
