actually patent is right given to an inventor or anyone. Like if u have invented a new technology then it's your choice if you want others to use it or not. If you don't want anyone to make use of it then the govt authority has given you a right to patent. Means no other can use it, that technology is only yours. It becomes illegal for others to make use of your technology.
