During summer season sun apparently move northwards directions. Due to this movement temperature rises at a particular place which is called local heating which causes conventional rising of area thereby causing thunderstorm this is called pre monsoon showers.

This helps in the early ripening of the mango and therefore it is also called "mango showers".
