⚪️ ANSWER :-
The recoil velocity is the recoil momentum divided by the mass of the recoil body. The recoil momentum is equal to the momentum of the other body. The momentum of the other body is equal to it mass times its velocity.

Answer >>>
^ Definition ^
When one shoots a bullet from the gun a velocity towards backwards is experienced , that's what we call Recoil velocity of gun .
Equation + Explaination.
Let ,
initial momentum = 0
u = 0
Final momentum of the system
= MV + mv
( MV = momentum of gun
mv = momentum of bullet )
* From the law of
Conservation of linear momentum
We get .
0 = MV + mv
implies that ,
V = -(mv )/ M
Note !!
Here the negative sign can be seen , that means direction of velocity of bullet is opposite to the direction of velocity in which the gun is fired.
