Secularism means that no particular relegion is given a special status and there is no particular relegion of any state. Yes india is a secular country as here every one has the freedom to practice to his/her own relegion

Secularism is a system of social organisation and education where religion is not allowed ..
India is called a secular country because citizens have complete freedom to follow any religion. But there is no official religion. Government treats all religious beliefs and practices with equal respect.
