The organelles which contain their own DNA  and reproduce independently of the nucleus. They are said to be 'semi-autonomous organelles'
For example,
Chloroplast and mitochondria are called semi-autonomous organelles .

Semi-autonomous bodies means the bodies which can replicate on its own because of the presence of their own DNA and RNA.
Example:Mitochondria, Chloroplast.
