Shifting cultivation or slash and burn agriculture means clearing a place and cultivating crops there and after the harvest again that place is clearing. After that the agricultural sector has been changed to other place and again repeating the same phenomenon. Shifting cultivation has also many harmful effects on earth and it's environment. Because it may deplete soil fertility and would make negative consequences in the life of small creatures living here. So it is not a very preferable or suitable way for cultivation.
