Suffrage, political franchise, or simply franchise is the right to vote in public, political elections (although the term is sometimes used for any right to vote).

Answer:

Every adult (a person above the age of 18) has the Right to Vote regardless of his/her caste, religion, gender, economic backgrounds, place of birth etc.

This is a Fundamental Right guaranteed by our Indian Constitution to each and every individual and no one can take it away from them.

The individual can appeal to the court if he feels this right has been violated because everyone has the Right to Vote (also happens for other rights but not mentioning as it is nowhere asked in the question).

Hope this helps...
