Rule of law is a method of exercising authority and power for protecting the people of the society. Every person falls under the enforcement of the law.

EXPLANATION:

The ‘rule of law’ is a set of rules or legal tools made by the government or the society for the benefit of the people. Every person, which even includes the lawmakers, falls under the ‘purview of the laws’ made by them. It can be used as the principle of governance for the people, institutions, state and others are accountable to the laws which have been made.
