Answer:

velocity per unit time is called acceleration.

negative and positive shows that whether the speed is increasing or decreasing.

like if acceleration is -10 metre per second square then the speed is decreasing 10m/s.

the SI unit of acceleration is m/s²

Answer:

1] The Force applied per unit mass on a object is called acceleration.

(ACTUALLY)

acceleration is the small change in velocity dV of an object in small time interval dT.

2] When Direction of applied force and velocity of an object is same, it is called positive acceleration.

e.g. Ball falling downwards, the force of gravity apllies a positive acceleration of +g m/s2.

When the direction of applied force and velocity of an object is opposite to then it is negative acceleration (deceleration).

e.g. Ball going upwards, the force of gravity applies a negative acceleration of -g m/s2.

3] SI unit of acceleration is m/s2
