Answer:

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity. Usually, acceleration means the speed is changing, but not always. When an object moves in a circular path at a constant speed, it is still accelerating, because the direction of its velocity is changing. That means that the direction of the acceleration determines whether you will be adding to or subtracting from the velocity. Mathematically, a negative acceleration means you will subtract from the current value of the velocity, and a positive acceleration means you will add to the current value of the velocity.

The SI unit of acceleration is metres/second2 (m/s2). Force (F), mass (m) and acceleration (g) are linked by Newton's Second Law, which states that 'The acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force acting on it and inversely proportional to its mass'.

Answer:

Acceleration is the rate of change in velocity per unit of time.Acceleration is 0 either if the body is in state of rest or in uniform motion.Acceleration is positive when is in the direction of motion and negative when not in the direction of motion and is known as negative acceleration or deceleration.M/S square is the si unit of acceleration.
