Answer:

in a democracy all person are equal before the law

it means that all people whether they are rich or poor of any caste are equal before the law the law punishes every person if he is guilty weather the person is rich poor.

it is very important in a democracy because equality is the basic spirit of democracy according to this every people are equal. if two persons have done similar mistakes and the consequence of mistakes were also similar then both will get similar punishment irrespective of their caste.

Hii dear here is your answer.

All persons are equal before the law. It means that every person, from the president of the country to a domestic helper like Kanta has to obey the same law. No person can be discriminated against equality on the basis of their religion, caste, creed, race etc. Every person has access to all.

Equality is the soul of democracy. We know all the democracy is the form of government which gains equal importance and its recognisation is effective to all. Of inequalities on the basis of race, religion, caste, etc. continue to exist democracy would never flourish.
