What do you understand by the term “all persons are equal before the law”? Why do you think it is important in a democracy?

all persons are   treated equally  in every ways like  race , religions , colour, caste etc.. because India is a secular country  we need a democracy government  becoz we can choose our  own representative in elections so democracy is important
