Translation Equivalence basically happens when there is a similarity between a word in one language and when it is translated to another.
- Formal equivalence - This type of equivalence focuses more on being faithful to the grammatical structure of the original text and emphasizes the relationship of the word. It mainly focuses on word-for-word translation
- Dynamic equivalence - In this form, the original text is translated in such a way that the response of the people listening to the translated text is similar to someone who had listened to the original text. The main goal is that the reader of both languages understands the text fully. Its main focus is sense-for-sense translation.
