A holistic and ecological view of the world is one which rejects the seperation of nature and society into  two seperate realms.Rather it accepts the view that the earth itself is a living organism-an enormous being of which are parts.It has its own metabolic neeeds and vital processess,which need to be respected and preserved.It views humans and the environment as the single  system

Holistic education refers to the development of the inner and outer self of an individual which prepares them for life. Although ancient education system in India was free, but it was not centralized. Its foundations were mostly laid in the rich cultural traditions of India that helped in the development of the physical, spiritual, intellectual and artistic aspects of life holistically.
