Here are some ways neutralisation is used:

1) Farmers use lime (calcium oxide) to neutralise acid soils.

2) Your stomach contains hydrochloric acid, and too much of this causes indigestion.

3) Antacid tablets contain bases such as magnesium hydroxide and magnesium carbonate to neutralise the extra acid.

Bee stings are acidic.

Answer:

Neutralisation is a reaction where an acid reacts with an alkali to form a neutral solution of a salt and water. Acid + Alkali → Salt + Water.

Examples

Sodium hydroxide: used in the production of soaps, paper, and synthetic fibres. Magnesium hydroxide: used as an antacid to neutralise the acid in the stomach. Ammonium hydroxide: manufacturing of fertilisers. Calcium hydroxide: used for manufacturing bleaching powder.
