when acid and base react with each other they neutralizes each other and gives water and salt . HCl+NaOh=H2O+NaCl. after neutralization the solution doesn't change its colour when reacted with phenolphthalein because neutral have PH value 7 and on PH value 7 phenolphthalein is colorless .
