1 Kwh can be defined as the amount of electrical energy consumed when a 1000 watt electrical appliance is used for an hour. The unit of energy is watt. 1 Watt = 1 Joule /second.

One unit of energy:

Energy is basically defined as electricity, i.e. energy and electricity are on the same page and in some cases can be used as synonyms. So in this case, One unit of energy = 1 Joule. (Joule is the SI unit for energy and work).

1 joule = 1 newton metre. Basically the unit of energy is watt. So you can also say that one unit of energy is peer to one joule or one watt.
