Placebo effect: Also called the placebo response. A remarkable phenomenon in which a placebo -- a fake treatment, an inactive substance like sugar, distilled water, or saline solution -- can sometimes improve a patient's condition simply because the person has the expectation that it will be helpful.

Nocebo: A negative placebo effect as, for example, when patients taking medications experience adverse side effects unrelated to the specific pharmacological action of the drug. ... Nocebocomes from the Latin noceo, to harm and means "I shall harm" whereas placebo means "I shall please."

Hope its help you☺️☺️☺️☺️

Hey dear....

Here is your answer...

✨placebo effects :
The psychobiological changes, which can be observed in persons taking a placebo, are called the placebo effect.

⭕Example: 100 patients diagnosed with chronic bronchitis are given a "non-effector" substance like a water-pill and 30% of them experience improvement in their cough symptoms (ie. reduction in cough as reported on some sort of scale); this is a placebo effect (positive change, reduction in symptoms)

✨nocebo effects :The negative effect of a sham or simulated medical intervention, which can generate or impair symptoms as well as prevent an improvement, is called the nocebo effect.

⭕Example: 100 patients diagnosed with chronic bronchitis are given a "non-effector" substance like a water-pill and 30% of them experience exacerbation in their cough symptoms (ie. increase in cough as reported on some sort of scale); this is a nocebo effect (negative change, increase in symptoms)

I hope now you totally understand this topic.

..... ALONE BUT HAPPY.......

Hope it helps you!!!!
