The term Sabaq-i-Hindi means style of India a poetical form created by Amir Khusau.
Amir Khusau was a Sufi musician, a scholar and also a poet from India. Most of his poetry was primarily written in Persian and also in Hindavi. He was also known as "voice of India" and also the "father of Urdu literature".
He was also considered as the "father of qawwali". Qawwali is a music form and a devotional one in the Sufis of the Indian subcontinent. He also introduced a style of song called the ghazal in India.
