What do you understand by the term swadeshi Movement

Swadeshi movement was one of the most successful pre-Gandhian movement. Leaders like Aurobindo Ghosh, Veer Savarkar, Lokmanya Tilak and Lala Lajpat Rai were the chief architects of this movement. It included boycotting British goods and revival of domestic products so that Indian industries could Prosper. Also at some places bonfires of foreign clothes and materials was organised.
Movement started from Bengal and gradually spread across the country.
This movement increased establishment of new Indian industries producing textiles matches soap oil etc.
