Tribes is a traditional society consisting of communities linked by social, economic, religious, or blood ties..  Adivasis are a part of the tribal population of India.. Chattisgarh, Jharkhand ,Madhya Pradesh, Orrisa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Andhra pradesh are some areas that have large population of Adivasis.. In pre- British period, they inhabited vast tracts of India's hills and forests.
