satya means truth and agrah means to ask or request . so satyagraha means request for truth or satyagraha ke liye agrah .

satyagraha is a form of resistance introduced by mahatma Gandhi in this no violence is used instead the satyagrahi appeals to the conscience of the oppressor and tries yo convince them that they are wrong.....

*Satyagraha was a non violent method of mass agitation against the oppressors. The method suggested that if the cause was true,if the struggle was against injustice, there is no need for physical force to fight the oppressor.

* the idea of satyagraha was emphasised by the power of truth and need to search for truth .
