Feminist means someone who believes in equal rights. It means that women have equal rights as men.

A feminist is someone who supports women empowerment (feminism) and fights for women's rights and actions. Though the term maybe related to only women, but there's nothing wrong if a man wants to support women empowerment. In fact all men should do so. However calling a man a feminist is not appropriate.
