POLITICALLY:

Liberalism is a political and moral philosophy based on liberty and equality.Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles.

SOCIALLY:

they generally support civil rights, democracy, secularism, gender equality, racial equality, internationalism, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and freedom of religion.

Liberalism I'd derived from Latin root liber means free.

politicaly- Politicaly it emphasised the concept of government by consent.

socialy- Socialy it emphasised on end of autocracy and clerical preveleges, a constitution and representative government through parliament, and inviolability of private property.
