Given :  

⅓ + 3 / 9

Taking L.C.M of 3 & 9. L.C.M  is 9

= 1×3 /3×3 + 3×1/9×1

= 3 / 9 + 3 / 9

= 6 / 9

= 6÷3 /9÷3

[ Divide the numerator & denominator by 3]

= ⅔  

Hence, 1/3 + 3/9 equals to ⅔.
