when any one political party has to prove its (bahumat) majority of votes and it doesn't have so this party will ask another party for uniting with them and then the votes will plus and if they both formed government then it is called coalition government ( gathbandhit sarkar).
EXAMPLE IN KARNATKA IN INDIA WHERE RAHUL GANDHI AND KUMARSWANI UNITED TO MAKE A COALITION GOVERNMENT.
