Required Answer:-

1) A food chain shows a series of organisms which are interdependent on each other for food. The flow of energy is undirectional.

2) Given food chain:

  • Phytoplankton 》Krill 》 Baleen whale

  1. Phytoplanktons, krill and Baleen whale are aquatic animals. Hence, it is an aquatic ecosystem.
  2. Phytoplanktons are micro plant like organisms which acts as the producers in the aquatic ecosystem. It gets energy from sun.
  3. Krill is the prey and Baleen whale is the predator. Because often producers are not considered as prey/predator.
