Answer:

Let us consider a velocity time graph .

As per the question , we can say that the graph has a horizontal line parallel to the x - axis.

From this we can very well understand that the Velocity doesn't change with time . That means , the particle is moving at a constant velocity and performing Uniform Motion.

In that case , we can frame the equation of the graph as :

 \boxed{ \red{ \large{v = constant}}}

Additional information that can be drawn from the given graph :

  • Since the body is moving with constant velocity , the acceleration of the body is zero.
  • Also the Displacement of the body is linear in relationship to time.

v = constant = k

 =  >  \dfrac{dx}{dt}  = k

 =  > dx = k \: dt

Integrating on both sides :

 =  >  \int \: dx =  \int \: k \: dt

 =  > x = kt + c

So the displacement vs time relationship is linear.

The slope of the velocity time graph or the horizontal line  represents the acceleration.

If acceleration is zero, then slope is also zero.

If acceleration is positive, then slope is also positive.

If acceleration is negative, then slope is also negative.
