what does a society needs to speed up the development process?

We have to reduce poverty from society. Everyone should be educated to contribute to the society in one way or another: Carpenter, teacher, parent etc. Majority of  India's population lives in poverty so if poverty is reduced more people can become the successful future of the nation as well as of the society which speeds up the development of process. Also to study, the schools should not take lots of money. If that is done then many people can gain knowledge.
