an excess sugar in the urine indicates that the body is releasing an extra amount of sugar due to dibetes. The insulin is produced properly from the liver.

Excess of sugar(glucose) in urine is an abnormality. It is termed as Diabetes Mellitus.

It may be due to hyposecretion (less secretion) of hormone insulin or due to attack on autonomous immune system.

The role of insulin is to facilitate glucose uptake by cells.

In Hyposecretion of insulin, the cells do not take in glucose from blood and glucose concentration in blood increases. This excess glucose in blood is primarily removed in urine.
