In "Julius Caesar", a play by Shakespeare, 'Oh, pardon me thou bleeding piece of earth' is the beginning of a famous monologue. Mark Antony gives this title to Caesar's corpse. It means that he is sorry that he has to behave well with the conspirators who killed Ceasar
