Stamen and carpel are respectively the male and female reproductive organs of a flower. A stamen basically consists of a filament with two chambered anthers which contain pollen grains. Carpels consist of ovary (place where eggs/ova are stored) , style and stigma (sticky tip to receive pollen grains) .
