In statistics class interval mean is "Range of each group of data"

lets say:  If you measure the length of leaves on a rose bush. Some are less than 1, and the longest is 9. You then put the lengths into groups.

A class interval of 2 has these groups:

• 0 to just below 2 ,

• 2 to just below 4 ,

• 4 to just below 6 ,

• 6  to just below 8 ,

• 8 to 10 .
