Punishment

Punishment Rules usually refer to standards for any kind of activities whether it is related to human, government, education, work, etc. Rules are principles, not laws. Disobeying the rules leads to punishments. Rules play a very vital role in everyone's life. It gives meaning to what we are doing.

Answer:

It depends on what they are and how many there are. If there are so many laws and regulations that it’s impossible to not violate some (as in the U.S. where experts have said it’s impossible for a citizen to not commit at least three felonies a day), then what happens is arbitrary and thus tyrannical enforcement because there’s no way to enforce all violations so they’re only enforced sometimes. That situations, as Abraham Lincoln warned, leads to most people despising the law except for those things they recognize as immoral regardless of any law. That can lead to chaos, too, if laws get so absurd people just ignore the law even if it makes sense.

And when a law is unjust, it’s the duty of citizens to ignore it in order to uphold liberty. Obeying unjust laws means endorsing injustice.
