DNA is made up of molecules called nucleotide . Each nucleotide contain phosphate group, a sugar group and a nitrogen base. The four type of nitrogen base are adenine(A) thymine (T) guanine ( G ) and cytosine ( C ) . The oder of these base is what determines DNA' s instructions , or genetic code.

DNA is present in both dividing and non dividing cells. In non dividing cell, the chromatin threads contain DNA which later condense to form chromosomes during dividing phase . DNA is a genetic material present in all cells.
