Almost all stable things in the universe are present in a compound form (i.e has 2 or more elements) like water (H2O), Salt (NaCl). Compounds are usually a mixture of 2 or more elements. These elements in their true form consist electrons in them. Some elements like to lose electrons to attain stability while other like to accept electrons to attain stability. Such elements which intend to give away electrons are electropositive (electrically-positive) and ones which accept are electronegative (electrically negative). In water, 2 Hydrogen atoms give away one electron each to attain electropositivity while one Oxygen takes those 2 electrons to attain electronegativity. So, losing electrons is called electropositivity.
