The Father didn't want that his son moved around and make his own world. He was ready to forgive him and let go of the sorrows he had inside because of him, because of the distance between them. He wanted to love him again.

About The Poet:
- Elizabeth Jennings (1926-2001) was born in Boston, Lincolnshire but moved to Oxford at the age of six where she lived for the rest of her life. She studied at St. Anne’s College, Oxford and worked in advertising, at the City Library and briefly in publishing before becoming a full-time writer. Her consistent devotion to poetry yielded over twenty books during her life, a New Collected Poems appearing in 2002.
- Jennings was a very prolific poet, meaning that she wrote many poems. Yet somehow she always managed to go back to her usual themes: love, religion, death, etc. Her poems are meant to engage many people who have suffered what she has, or perhaps shared experiences.
