What does helen mean by valley of twofold solitude?

When Helen says the "valley of two fold soltitude". She actually is trying to say that after her father had passed away she felt very lonely and as if she was walking in soltitude because her father was one person whom she loved very much and she enjoyed the company of and hence she felt as if she was surrounded by the valley of loneliness. hope it was helpful :)
