When Mrs.Slater tells to Henry that Elizabeth will come fast after her share of what father's left and she can be hard over what she likes and Mrs.slater wonders from where she gets it and Henry tells that its from the family,he refers to Mr.Abel.He tells that Elizabeth got this trait/quality from her father.
