Independence Day is celebrated in India because on this day India got freedom from Britishers after several years and after a lot of sacrifices by freedom fighters and other Indians. To remember all those sacrifices and other freedom fighters we celebrate Independence Day.
Thus it is a very important day in Indian history and means a lot to all Indians
