What does it mean when we say that forces acting on an object may or may not balance each other? Explain by giving at least two examples in each case when forces acting on an object:

If two individual forces are of equal magnitude and opposite direction, then the forces are said to be balanced. An object is said to be acted upon by an unbalanced force only when there is an individual force that is not being balanced by a force of equal magnitude and in the opposite direction.

When a rope is pulled from opposite sides by applying same amount of force ina tough of war it is a balanced force. When a rope is pulled from opposite sides by applying different amount of force the rope will move towards the stronger amount of force applied.
