What does it tell you about a pond if there are lots of frogs in it?

On reflection...... amphibians will be highly sensitive to humidity and will presumably be instinctively drawn towards it. The air closest to the pond will be very humid due to natural evaporation/molecular exchange processes, and there will be a 'humidity gradient', as moisture in the air increases towards the pond. Thus all paths for the moisture-loving frogs will lead "To the pond" - presumably they don't stop at the edge to take a look and decide whether or not it's a good idea to take the plunge and then not be able to get out again
