Answer:
Lencho had complete faith in God. We know this due to a number of reasons. Lencho, who knew his fields intimately, knew that all what his fields needed was a shower of rain. Soon, the rain started and Lencho's soul was filled with deep satisfaction and happiness. However, this happiness didn't last for long as the rain soon changed into a hailstorm. He was sad and wished that may the hailstorm pass away quickly. It didn't. The hailstorm caused extreme destruction, leaving not even a single leaf on the trees. Lencho's entire field was destroyed due to which Lencho considered a plague of locusts better. However, he asked his family to not to lose hope. He, who had worked like an ox of a man, had been told that God sees everything, even what is deep inside one's conscience. He decided to write a letter to God. In that letter, he described the entire situation and demanded hundred pesos from God. Thereafter, he posted the letter in the post office. This shows that he had immense faith in God. The postman, on reading the address, 'To God', broke out laughing. In his entire career as a postman, he had not known that address. He took the letter to the postmaster who was a fat and amiable man. Initially, he also broke out laughing but he changed serious soon. He was impressed by such confidence that Lencho had in God. He decided to answer the letter. However, on opening the letter, he found that an ink, paper and a good deed were not enough to answer the letter. The letter also demanded hundred pesos. Yet, the postman strucked to his resolution. He asked his employees and friends to help. He even gave a part of his salary as an act of charity. All of them were obliged to do so. However, it was impossible for the post master to collect such an amount as big as hundred pesos, so he sent seventy only. He signed the letter 'God' so as to ensure that the confidence in Lencho's heart is not shaken. This shows that the postmaster was an extremely good man of selfless deed. When Lencho opened the letter, he was not surprised to see the money because such was his confidence. However, on counting the money, he became angry. He thought that God couldn't have had made a mistake. Nor could he have denied Lencho what he had demanded for. He went and wrote another letter asking God to send the rest thirty pesos as well. Also, he requested God not the send the momey via the post office services because according to him, the post office employees were a bunch of crooks or cheats. This shows that although Lencho had immense faith in God, yet, lacked faith in humanity.
