Every 28 days female reproductive organ i.e. each ovary will release a ovum(egg), that ovum is called by a finger like projection called Fimbriae, the ovum is carried through the oviduct, if the ovum is fertilised by a sperm the process of implantation of zygote into endometrium will follow which is called PREGANANCY,.

If the ovum is not fertilised then the unfertilised egg along with other blood vessel will shed off, this process is called MENSTRIATION.

in the reproductive system of females the uterus of female developes a thick lining on its boundary to recieve the egg if sperm reaches every month. but if the uterus doesn't recieves an egg then there is no use of the thick lining made up of capillaries so it breaks and comes outward in the form of blood which is called menstruation it happnes once in 28 days which is almost equal to a month
