1.molecular theory explains weather a molecule will exist or not on the basis of bond order. 2. Concept of bond order is not feasible and appropriate to explain existence of polyatomic molecules.
3. It does not give any idea about molecular geometry and shape of molecule etc.
4. Even though MO theory is the most powerful of all of the bonding models (gives us a more acurate picture of what molecules look like), we continue to use the othere modles when they can do a good job of explaining or predicting the properties of a molecule.
